How to Become a Driving Instructor

To become an ADI and join the Homer’s Driving School family you do have to complete a driving instructor course. This consists of 3 parts

• Part 1 – Theory Test
• Part 2 – Advanced Driving Test
• Part 3 – Instructional Ability Test

Through your course we offer support and mentoring to give you the best possible chance of you passing and getting through it.

We can provide pay as you go from £60.00 per hour or a full course. So if you are part of the way and you are not happy with your current training we can help!

If you’re interested in becoming a driving instructor but you are struggling to part with your cash there are various other fully funded courses in the following areas;

Here at Homers we are always getting calls from students wanting to learn how to drive. There is plenty of students to create business and full diaries. We charge from £37 per lesson for manual cars and £40 for automatic, which is a great hourly rate for the work you as the instructor put in. We will do all the marketing for you through our website and other marketing channels.

The risk of you deciding to work alone as a driving instructor instead of part as a franchise you run the risk of having an empty diary and being forced to market yourself by offering the cheapest rates around in order to generate business. This in turn devalues your service and means you’ll have to work longer hours.
