On the boarder of Oldbury and West Browich once stood the world famous manufacture of cars Jensen. I am sure you can think of a famous Formula 1 driver named after them! In recent years it was featured as a derelict shell on the television program Topgear.
Oldbury is most famous for the foundation of Lloyds bank with the first ever Lloyds bank branch opening in Oldbury High Street in 1864 and of course it once had the first Hypermarket in the area Savacentre, best known nowadays “Sainsburys”
