About Featherstone and Fordhouses area
Based in the district of South Staffordshire, stands Featherstone, a small village ten minutes’ drive away from the City of Wolverhampton. Originally a small farming community consisting of a few and far between scattered farms, is now a busy village with a large residential area, together with a handful of shops. It is commonly renown for three large HMP prisons on the border of the village.
Featherstone sits on the edge of both the M54 and M6, with its main road (Cannock Road) running through to the suburbs of the City is Fordhouses.
